Introduction

Complete Family Dentistry offers clients affordable dental care by extracting infected or broken teeth quickly and with no pain. We offer dental extractions for wisdom teeth in non-complicated cases, and will refer to an oral surgeon for those challenging dental situations.

What is a Tooth Extraction?

Tooth extractions involve the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Normally, if a tooth is decayed or broken our dentists will try to fix the tooth with a tooth filling, dental crown, or other treatments. If the tooth is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, then a tooth extraction might be necessary.

In some cases, a tooth extraction is used to reduce crowding within the mouth. This is often done in preparation for orthodontic treatment. Often this is not necessary and other treatments can be done to accommodate all of the teeth in the mouth.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions

Wisdom teeth are often extracted in order to correct a problem, or to prevent problems from occurring in the future. Impacted or improperly positioned wisdom teeth can cause many issues such as dental infections, movement of your other teeth and damage to your bone. For non-complicated wisdom tooth extraction can be done at Complete Family dentistry. Complicated extractions may need a referral to an Oral Surgeon.
